Thursday: free day

We didn't have too much planned for today and that turned out to be perfect.

We've never really changed from california time   so when we wake up at 11 am here, it's only 7 am in SF. And going to bed at 2 am is the same as10 pm at home. No problem.

The most notable change has been that we almost totally skip breakfast. Eating at midnight and then in bed by 2, we are totally not hungry in the morning.

So we had a relaxing day. It is a new holiday here -- a day of memory in honor of a military coup (?). I'm not really sure.

We tried to go on a  tour of the famous cemetery, but the tour guides were holidaying as well, so we just walked around some more.

Then we went up for lunch in the Palermo district and met up with more friends (Alin, her mom Sonia, Alin's brother Alexis, his wife Carmen and their beautiful daughter Felicitas, and Alin's boyfriend Juani (apologies for all my spelling mistakes in names)).

We sat out and visited while watching some street performers dance tango. It was so relaxing and enjoyable. After that we walked  around a bit looking at all the spendy shops before heading home to rest up before dinner.

We' re leaving for Uruguay at 7am. That's 3am SF time.
